Spring Outfit Quick Post

Here are some cute spring time outfit that I've found.

I just love the grey color with a touch of pink and tan-ish gold.

I'm loving the turquoise color with the grey and blue jeans. I'm not sure if I like those earrings so I would probably find some turquoise studs or something.

Evening attire in the spring or summer will serve you right with this outfit. I love how the shirt is fitting and the colors just matches together. I would replace the black necklace with a brown or turquoise color necklace because that black one will get lost in the black shirt - it just doesn't pop out. Overall...it's a cute one!

Oh how I love this outfit! So spring can still be a little chilly...so this scarf and bag matches well with plain old jeans and a white long sleeve or short sleeve shirt. I'm a casual outfit type of person so this is the easiest for me to grab and put on. A+

This dress is more for summer but I just wanted to throw it in there because it's so cute and I love how the back is and how the design is perfect. I rarely wear strip or pattern of this type but I would definitely wear this one.

How To Turn Your Dry Hair to Healthy Hair

Does your hair feel and look dry? Do you have brittle or porous hair? Do you want soft and nice healthy shiny hair? Of course you do...here are some tips and steps to achieve this goal.

First you would want to chose a good conditioner. One of my favorite conditioner is the Biolage Conditioning Balm Continuous Moisture for Dry, Stressed Hair. I use this conditioner after I use my Biolage Hydrating Shampoo.

I'm not sure if I'm like any other but I usually ALWAYS use conditioner every time I wash my hair but it's recommended to use a moisturizer for your hair at least 2 times a week. At first when I bought the conditioning balm I thought "What a small bottle or container" but a little goes a long way people!

I bought this duo conditioner and shampoo to hydrate my hair after an intense hair coloring and highlighting. Long story but I had my hair bleached one day and bleached and toned again the next day because the first person messed up my hair and I looked like a rooster! ahhhh! Anyways, so my hair was very stressed and breaking all over. So I've been using these products for the last 4 weeks now and I can say that my hair looks and feel 100% better! But like I said, I use conditioner every time I wash my hair and that's about every other day.

Another alternative is the Garnier "Color Shield." I use this when my hair is pretty much healthy but I want to keep it nice and shiny with this "Cheaper Drug Store" brand. I think I paid about $35 for the Biolage conditioner and shampoo but the Garnier is less then $10.

Tip: Apply your hair moisturizer or conditioner and let it set on your hair for about 2-3 minutes while you wash your face and your body. This helps the conditioner absorb into your hair!

Second, apply some kind of oil or serum on your hair. Hair oil will replace what was lost during your hair washing routine. The oil will help hydrate and moisturize your hair and also make it look shiny. Especially when you are styling your hair with a blow dryer or straightener, apply the oil on before you use these heating tools on your hair.

The Chi Silk Infusion is one of the best hair oils I've used. It helps strengthen the hair and at the same time make it shiny and soft.

Here are some possible causes for dry hair besides heating tools:

  1. Shampooing too often (too much is bad for your hair and scalp) Click here for more info!
  2. Any product with alcohol on your hair can cause it to be dry.
  3. Not drinking enough water.
  4. Weather
  5. Improper hair pH
  6. Medical condition: malnutrition, hypoparathyroidism, anorexia nervosa, etc.
  7. Scalp does not produce enough oil to moisturize your hair naturally.

It's always good to drink more water! Shampooing your hair less frequently and using conditioner will help your hair look more healthier. What I've learn from my Anatomy and Physiology professor is that the oil your scalp produces helps your hair look and feel shiny. I know some people do not like the oil or smell that your scalp releases but it's good for your hair....

Foundations and Primers

Hi everyone! So this is my first post for this blog. I've created this blog mainly for fashion, style, health, cosmetic, beauty, etc. I'll be blogging about things I love, tried or want to try and have. Also everything on this blog is solely my opinion. BUT I'm very open to suggestions and thoughts...so please feel free to comment on anything I've posted. I love to get comments!

Okay, so lets talk about primers and foundations!

Smashbox Color Correcting Adjust Primer

I've been trying out this primer that everyone is raving about for people with redness and blotchy spots on their face. I have redness on my cheeks and red blemishes all around my face so I had to try this out! Let's just say that this primer is amazing...The primer does exactly what it says. The green tone reduces redness. Ladies..it does not make your face have a green tone to it (I've heard someone ask if it makes your face look green..LOL). One thing to remember is to let the primer set on your face for at least one minute before applying foundation.

The texture of the primer is not heavy and a little goes along ways. So what's the price? I bought mine in the Sephora department in JC Penny and I think I paid about $38, less then $40 I know. It's a bit pricey for me but I think that it's worth the money....

Next, let's talk foundation!

I've been trying the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous foundation for a bit now and I've been finding myself in the makeup aisle looking for other foundations. I only tried this foundation because other friends have suggested it and it's not expensive at all. I paid less then $10 in Target.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous

I found this foundation very easy to blend and apply on my face. The thing I don't like about this foundation is that the color of the foundation changes after awhile. I'll apply this foundation on and a couple of hours later I'll check on my make up in the bathroom and the color has darkened. This makes it hard because then the color doesn't match my neck or skin color. I hate wasting money but I think I'll only use this foundation when I'm going out at night when the lighting is dimmer or I'll think about mixing the foundation with a lighter foundation.

Here's the wonderful NARS tinted moisturizer!

NARS Tinted Moisturizer

If your looking for a light foundation..try the NARS tinted moisturizer. I really love this product! This moisturizer works like a foundation but gives you a more natural look. I still use primer and my face moisturizer before applying this product. It's light and it doesn't make my face look cakey at all. I belive I paid about $40. I give this product a two thumbs up and it's well worth the money!

Next, the Maybelline "Fit Me!" foundation. I just got this foundation last week...and I'm LOViNG it! This is a light to medium coverage foundation. Save the full foundation for the evening ladies. For me, I love to have a lighter more natural look during the day.

This foundation has 18 different shades. For my lighter skin I use 120. I recommend this product to everyone. I give it two thumbs up plus 5 stars!

Two products I'm currently testing out and trying are the L'Oreal Magic Anti-Redness Correcting Primer and the NYX Matte Finish Fini Mat Setting Spray.

L'Oreal Magic Anti-Redness
NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

I'm trying to find a product just like the Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer but cheaper. Let's get real people...I love the Smashbox product BUT if I'm able to find something that works the same way but cheaper...let's find it! I'll review this product when I've used it for several weeks.

Product info:
Paid about $12
Light weight
Reduces redness
Gives a radiant and healthy glow look

Lastly, the NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray...
Honestly I got this product because I wanted something to set my makeup and have it last longer. I've used pressed powder and my husband has said that the powder makes my face look a bit cakey..which I wanted to avoid. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but who knows.

I've tried this product once and I think I like it but I'm not sure yet. I know that the spray is a bit aggressive so I have to spray a bit further...extend my arms all the way out. I didn't expect that. I thought it was going to be a mist affect but I was wrong.

This product also comes with a Dewy Fresh Glow. I think I paid about $8.99 at Walgreen but I know it's less then $10.
